Performance “Haiku of Siberia”
Depth of the universe out of three grains of rice is the credo for the creators of the Haiku of Siberia. The performance is based on the texts from Jurga Vile’s book of the same name. The exile story of the writer’s father Algimantas Stakenas is told through the lips of a 10 year old boy, revealing the fate of many Lithuanians. The most important medium of this stage-game is earth. It gives rise to all the characters in the story, concisely conveys the historical actions and consequences of the war.
As usual to the Table Theatre, the most important characters Algiukas, his sister, mother, dad, goose Martynas, aunt Petronele, soldiers Bulvinis, Duoninis and others are portrayed using various household items by Balys Ivanauskas. Along the actor, the atmosphere of the performance is created by the three-singer choir “Apples”. Composer of the young generation Mantvydas Leonas Pranulis chose musical instruments corresponding to the poverty of exile – Algiukas’ favorite instruments – buckets and voices.The ingenious use of various objects in the “Haiku of Siberia” pays a lot of attention to the theme of human spiritual freedom and creativity, which in difficult times provide strength even to the smallest ones.
Although this work speaks of painful things, grief here is pictured by play, light and haiku – a Japanese poem that paints the natural landscape, symbolising the inner experiences of man in a few words.
Table theatre
Table Theatre – a group of professional artists has been creating object theatre performances for children and youth since 2004. The performances are “served” to the audience with the help of various household or environmental objects, which come to life and become dolls and characters during the performance. This way, an authentic connection to young viewers is found through familiar environments. The performances are based on mythology, folklore and literature from various countries.The theatre performs in Lithuania and abroad, conducts creative workshops, educational programs for infants, children and youth, seminars for teachers and creatives. sTable Theatre was awarded the Golden Stage Cross Award in 2011 and 2014.
Spektaklis šeimai pagal Jurgos Vilės knygą „Sibiro haiku“
Visatos gylis iš trijų ryžių grūdelių – tai „Sibiro haiku“ kūrėjų kredo. Spektaklis sukurtas pagal Jurgos Vilės tekstus to paties pavadinimo knygoje. Čia dešimtmečio berniuko lūpomis perpasakota rašytojos tėvo Algimanto Stakėno tremties istorija, o per ją atskleidžiamas daugelio lietuvių likimas.
Svarbiausia sceninio žaidimo terpe virto žemė. Iš jos iškyla visi pasakojimo veikėjai, ja lakoniškai perteikiami ir istoriniai karo veiksmai bei pasekmės. Kaip įprasta Stalo teatre, svarbiausius veikėjus – Algiuką, jo sesę, mamą, tėtį, žąsiną Martyną, tetą Petronėlę, kareivius Bulvinį ir Duoninį bei kitus – aktorius Balys Ivanauskas perteikia panaudodamas įvairius buityje sutinkamus daiktus. Kartu su aktoriumi spektaklio atmosferą kuria trijų dainininkių choras „Obuoliai“. Jaunosios kartos kompozitorius Mantvydas Leonas Pranulis pasirinko tremties skurdumą atitinkančias muzikines priemones, mėgstamiausius Algiuko instrumentus – kibirus ir žmonių balsus.
Išradingai panaudojant, priverčiant netikėtai veikti įvairius objektus, spektaklyje „Sibiro haiku“ daug dėmesio skiriama žmogaus dvasinės laisvės ir kūrybiškumo temai, nes sunkiais momentais būtent tai suteikia jėgų net ir patiems mažiausiems. Nors kūrinys pasakoja apie skaudžius dalykus, graudenimų vietą čia užima žaismė, šviesa ir haiku – japoniškas eilėraštis, keletu žodžių „nutapantis“ gamtos peizažą, simbolizuojantį vidinius žmogaus išgyvenimus.
