Do you know who made the first Lithuanian puppet film with sound called “Chubby man’s dream”? Or who was the Lithuanian pioneer animator? Would you like to know?! Yes? We invite you to join the educational program “Magic story of puppets: in theatre and animation”!
In the workshop the participants will get to know two famous artists from Kaunas, Stasys Usinskas (1905-1974) and Vladislav Starevicius (1882-1965).
Together with the Kaunas Puppet Theatre constructor Audrius Bartninkas, the participants will rave and travel through the mazes of animation history, hear interesting stories from the biographies of Usinskas and Starevicius and explore the puppet maker’s workshop where they will be able to look through the original sketches of the creators saved by UNESCO.
